Gift of Sight

We commit to give away 2400 free pairs of glasses and 1300 free eye exams to Hoosiers in need through June 2025.

For over 80 years, Dr. Tavel Family Eyecare has focused on providing affordable and accessible eyewear and care to all Hoosiers. While Dr. Tavel accepts all insurance, guaranteed, and offers free imaging as part of our comprehensive eye exams, we recognize that for some, cost remains a barrier to care. That’s why we’ve launched Gift of Sight – our program that removes cost as a barrier to corrected, healthy vision.

We commit to give away 6,500 free pairs of glasses and 5,500 free eye exams to Hoosiers in need through June 2026.

Redeem a Certificate

Using certificates from the Gift of Sight program, Hoosiers have the opportunity to receive 1 free eye care service and 1 free eyewear product annually.

Services Available

Services include a free comprehensive eye exam, or a free medical exam, or free special testing.

Eyewear Products

Products include a free life-enhancing upgrade to your eyewear, or a free pair of glasses.

Redemption Limits

A person may redeem one eyewear product certificate, and one eyecare service certificate, per 12-month period.

Insurance Requirements

If a person has vision insurance, available vision insurance benefits must be fully utilized before the certificate can be redeemed.

For additional redemption details, refer to the certificate or speak with a store associate.
