Summer doesn’t officially start until June 20th, but many consider Memorial Day weekend the unofficial start of summer. This year in particular the weather in May felt more like mid July, which only made it feel more like the season we all look forward to.

One of the biggest events of Memorial Day weekend is the Indy 500. I make it a point to attend Carb Day Friday every year before the big race. Carb Day, which is the last official practice before the Indy 500, is a day where most people can enjoy a full day at the track, as well as the Freedom 100 race, Pit Stop challenges and a concert.

One of the most important things to remember when attending Carb Day, or any event at the track, is knowing what things to pack to make it an enjoyable day. One thing that I never forget are my sunglasses with Purifier® Polarized lenses from Dr. Tavel. Purifier® Polarized lenses are essential when spending long days out in the sun. On top of being the ultimate protection from harmful UV rays, they also make colors brighter, which means the colors of the Indy cars and the racing teams really pop and are more vibrant and clear.

I have attended Carb Day in the past wearing regular sunglasses, but once you have experienced the difference with Purifier® Polarized lenses, you never want to be in the sun without them.
