With the crazy heat wave we’re having here in Indiana, all I can think about is how hot I am all the time. It’s hard to walk outside without sweating. Logically, my next thought upon venturing into the scorching temperatures is a vision of sitting poolside with a huge beach hat and some killer sunglasses. With that in mind, I think it’s the perfect time to discuss my personal picks for sexy summer sunglasses. Women:

![]() | Pick #1—Ed Hardy Black Men’s frame Designed by Ed Hardy with the signature design on the side, these aviator shaped frames are perfect for the stylish gentleman that wants sunglasses with character. Not only are the temples, or the side pieces, fun, colorful and unique, but the frames as a whole are attractive pieces of art. I love the shape as well—a more square aviator compliments the jaw line of most men. |
Pick #2—Ted Baker Raffi Gunmetal B4791 So, I have to confess that Ted Baker is my favorite eyewear designer right now. This classic pair of aviators looks good on just about everyone. Plus, gunmetal is a great everyday color for any outfit or hair color and it’s not too shiny. The double bridge, between the two lenses, is also a wonderful addition because it improves the sturdiness and durability of the frame. From a personal perspective, I think the double bridge also makes a guy look manlier. What do you think? | ![]() |
Those are my picks at the moment. I’m a big fan of any of these frames. By visiting Dr. Tavel online, you can check out additional styles by these designers, as well as other designers I didn’t get to gush about here. I know I mentioned that these are my summer favorites, but these sunglasses can be worn year round… unless you want a pair for every season, which is totally acceptable.
