Seeing Clear With Clear Care Solution

I am an educated consumer. I don’t buy things on a whim. I do my research.

Upon the recommendation of Dr. Tavel and the testimony of my sister and my roommate, I have recently started using Clear Care contact lens solution.

Clear Care is different than my previous multi-purpose contact solution. Clear Care is a hydrogen peroxide based solution that destroys bacteria and micro-organisms by creating a chemical reaction. The Clear Care system requires a specially designed case that you must always use because the chemical reaction won’t occur in a traditional flat lens case.{{{image-700}}}

There are two important reminders for users new to the Clear Care system. First, do not (I repeat, DO NOT!) put the solution directly in your eyes. I suggest having traditional saline solution on hand if you ever get something in your eye and need to rinse off your contacts or re-wet them. Second, the contacts must remain in the solution for six hours before they are safe to wear (I leave them in overnight).

My sister has used Clear Care for a number of years and would highly recommend it. “My Indianapolis eye care doctor recommended it when I was having trouble with my contacts drying out and becoming cloudy,” she said. “It has helped make my contacts breathe more and still feel comfortable at the end of the day.”

New patients who see Dr. Tavel are eligible to receive a free trial size Clear Care system. I highly suggest making the switch!

No matter what solution you use, make sure you clean your leases thoroughly, as directed by your eye care doctor. Although it’s slightly more expensive than traditional saline solution, I chose the Clear Care system because it allows me to comfortably wear my contact lenses without dryness or irritation.
