It is finally March!  A month that isn’t winter but not quite yet spring…it is in between but the days of ice and snow are hopefully soon over.  As spring makes its way to Indiana, more and more of us will get out of the indoors and outside into some sunshine.

With this push to be outdoors it is important to wear the right gear whether we are playing sports, taking a walk, or doing never-ending yardwork.  The right gear includes eye wear which we don’t always think about.  Our eyes are just as important to protect from the sun as is our face so think about your eyes when you are heading outside this spring.

For me I am heading outside this spring to train for a mini-marathon.  The right kind of gear for me then is running shoes, a running watch, and Purifier® polarized sunglasses.  I have worn the same style running shoes for more than 10 years and I always run with a watch but until recently I hadn’t worn sunglasses.  I will now always wear Purifier® polarized sunglasses when I run outside in almost any weather as they completely block glare.

Purifier® polarized sunglasses are the only kind of sunglasses that completely eliminate glare outside from bodies of water (lots of puddles in the spring), road ways, oncoming cars, you name it.  I like wearing these sunglasses then as they allow me to see all that I need too while running as well as protect my eyes from harmful UV rays.  Get Purifier® polarized sunglasses at Dr. Tavel Family Eye Care and protect your eyes this spring!
