Makeup For Your Frames

Sometimes I feel like I have to decide between wearing cute eye makeup for the day, or my cute glasses frames. I feel like wearing both will be a waste of time because you won’t be able to see the eye makeup that I have on.  And on the other hand, I am afraid it is going to be too overwhelming with bold makeup underneath my frames.

I was wrong. I have smaller, daintier frames than normal so wearing makeup isn’t overwhelming at all. In general, the lighter the frame (in color and weight) the brighter you can go with your makeup! You can feel free to wear colors and different styles. Particularly for the Barely There® styles, you can wear eye makeup like you are not even wearing frames! As far as mascara goes, I would stick to lighter mascara to avoid dirtying up the lenses. (Using your eyelash curler will let you wear more mascara and really make those eyes pop!)

On the other hand, if you are going for the “geek chic” look with heavy, black frames you might want to stick to more neutral tones as to not completely weigh down those beautiful eyes! You want to brighten your eyes up in order to draw attention to them, not weigh them down.
