A Day at The Brickyard Seeing in HD

Along with the hottest temperatures of the summer, the end of July also brings thousands of race fans to Indy for the Brickyard 400.  Thanks to WTHR, my son and I had the privilege of being two of the 138,000 fans in attendance yesterday. Along with the hottest temperatures of the summer, the end of July also brings thousands of race fans to Indy for the Brickyard 400.  Thanks to WTHR, my son and I had the privilege of being two of the 138,000 fans in attendance yesterday.

This was my son’s first experience at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and luckily the excitement of the cars going 150 mph around the track distracted him from the record breaking heat.  Nonetheless I made sure that we packed a small cooler with plenty of ice water, small towels and my Aviator sunglasses with Purifier® polarized lenses.

As we walked to the track there were a few vendors selling fashion sunglasses for around $10.  My son stopped to try a pair on, so I took the opportunity to show him the difference between fashion sunglasses and Purifier® polarized sunglasses from Dr. Tavel.  He immediately noticed that Purifier® polarized lenses blocked out more sunlight and made it easier to see the graphics on the sides of the racing trailers.

Our seats faced west, which meant we caught the worst of the sun, but with my Purifier® polarized sunglasses the harmful UV rays were blocked which not only protected my eyes, but allowed me to feel like I was watching the race in HD.  As the cars sped around turn two, I could see the vivid colors on the cars. Even at high speeds, the sponsors’ logos were as crisp and sharp as they would be sitting still right in front of me.

The heat got the best of us and we left the race around lap 100, but I was never more thankful to have my Purifier® polarized sunglasses …the Brickyard 400 would have been a less enjoyable race without them.
