Dr. Rupinder Guru began her career as an optometrist in 2021 and has been practicing at Dr. Tavel since 2025. She earned a BS in Biology from York University, a Doctor of Optometry from Salus University and has an anterior segment laser certificate from Indiana University. Optometry. She specializes in primary care and ocular diseases; and is an AOA and IOA member.
When asked why she enjoys working at Dr. Tavel, Dr. Guru said, “I enjoy working in a collaborative environment along with having the ability to practice full scope optometry with the help of the newest technologies.”
Dr. Guru was born and raised in New York City and moved to Indiana in 2024. In her free time, Dr. Guru is an avid book reader.
