Dr. Caitlin Haas began her career as an optometrist in 2024 and has been practicing at Dr. Tavel since then. She earned her BS in Health Sciences from Butler University and her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry. In addition, she holds a Certificate in the Business of Eyecare from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Dr. Haas is particularly interested in diagnosing and treating dry eye and providing care for patients of all ages. She is a member of the American Optometric Association.
When asked why she enjoys working at Dr. Tavel, Dr. Haas said, “I enjoy working at Dr. Tavel because the company truly feels like a family. From the day I started, every doctor and employee has been so welcoming, and every day I am met with a smile. It is truly a company that cares about all its employees.”
In her free time, Dr. Haas enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes. She also once appeared on TV for the White Sox when she was in second grade—though she proudly remains a Cubs fan!
