It’s that time again – time for my annual eye exam. I’ve had an eye exam every year since I can remember. My parents were adamant about getting me in for all my yearly checkups. Looking back, I’m very grateful they did.
I consider myself a generally healthy person, but that doesn’t mean I don’t need regular checkups. I’ve worn some sort of vision correction (first glasses and now contacts) since at least sixth grade. I can’t imagine what my school years would have been like without seeing clearly!
Last Thursday, I visited Dr. Tavel Family Eye Care in Zionsville, Indiana. Upon entering the facility, I was warming greeted by the manager Josh. I turned in my necessary paperwork (which I downloaded here and filled out before my appointment) and browsed the extensive frame collection while I waited to see the doctor.
I had the privilege of receiving my eye exam from Dr. Alan Tavel. He is such a warm, cheerful man! He performed numerous eye tests and explained the process along the way. I was impressed by how thorough Dr. Tavel was and the amount of attention he gave me.
Then came the fun part: picking out my new frame! Josh had several great suggestions of frames to compliment my face. I ended up going with one of his first choices: the new Humphrey’s Groove frame in brown. I can’t wait to see the finished product!
