If you missed the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA), you missed a great experience. As a Graphic Designer for Dr. Tavel, and an overall creative individual, I can really appreciate Warhol’s work which has also influenced me in some of our Dr. Tavel work (to be specific, our Try Change campaign).

The exhibit was a montage of his paintings, commercial displays, photography, film and even music pieces. What made the exhibit even more of an interactive experience was how the IMA integrated ipod’s. For $5 extra dollars you could take the ipod tour in which each piece had a 3-digit number that you dialed into the ipod, and then could hear more about the piece.

I can’t take all the credit for going, it was a Christmas gift from my Aunt, but it did open my eyes to Andy Warhol and made me familiar with a lot more of his work.  Having an eye for art is obviously a must have in my line of work so keeping my vision healthy is important.  Warhol needed to see well not only with his mind but his eyes to create the work he did.  Eye examinations are then a must for any kind of artist to make sure you have an eye for art (a healthy eye!)  See an Indianapolis eye doctor today.
