We built Indiana’s largest eyecare practice by being available when our patients needed us, featuring evening and weekend hours and even have some locations open seven days a week! Dr. Tavel and all of his board certified associate eye care specialists are first-rate Indiana eye doctors with years of experience in both optical care and procedures. Our team of eye care specialists provide complete and thorough eye exams, contact lens and glasses fittings, while we check for signs of glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, high blood pressure, MS, some cancers and many more diseases including several systemic problems that affect more than just the eye.

Meet The Drs. Of Dr. Tavel Family Eye Care:

	Dr. Alan Tavel, OD, holds a Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Optometry from University of Alabama at Birmingham. He graduated with his Doctorate in 1973 and has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 37 years. He can be seen at our Zionsville, IN location.
	Dr. Heidi Park, OD, received her Bachelor of Vision Science from Ferris State University in Michigan. Dr. Park received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2006. She has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group since 2006 and can be seen primarily at our 10th and Mitthoeffer location and several other Indianapolis locations.
	Dr. Regina Harvey, OD, holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Marian College and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry. She received her Doctorate in 1997. Dr. Harvey is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and The Central Indiana Optometric Association. Dr. Harvey has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for eight years and can be seen at our East Street location in Indianapolis.
	Dr. Lloyd Dewar, OD, received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 1971. Dr. Dewar has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 16 years and can be seen at our Terre Haute office on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
	Dr. Amal Hassan, OD, received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University (Bloomington). Dr. Hassan graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in 2004. She was raised in Indiana and enjoys spending time with her two children. Dr. Hassan is one of our newest Optometrists and practices out of our Chapel Hill Vision Values by Dr. Tavel office.
	Dr. James Fechtman, OD, received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. Dr. Fechtman graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry in 1982. He has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 23 years and can be seen in our Columbus, Indiana location.
	Dr. James Hartill, OD, holds a Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. Dr. Hartill graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry in 1998. He has been practicing in our Shelbyville office for 11 years.
	Dr. Marilyn Burich, OD, holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Evansville and received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1995 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Burich has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 15 years and she can be seen at several locations.
	Dr. Nancy Wagoner-Stovall, OD, received her Bachelor of Science and her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. She graduated with her Doctorate in 1996 and has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 14 years. She can be seen at several of our Indianapolis, IN locations.
	Dr. Robert "Bob" Seay II, OD, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. He started working with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group in 2008 and can be seen at many of our different locations.
	Dr. Jackie M. Jones, OD, attended and received his Bachelor of Science in Optometry and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University and received his Doctorate in 1990. Dr. Jones has been working with Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 6 years and can primarily be seen at our Muncie, IN, location.
	Dr. Michael S. McCoy, OD, holds an Associates of Science in Optometric Technology with Distinction, a Bachelor’s of Science in Optometry, and Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. Dr. McCoy has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 9 years and can be seen in our Terre Haute location.
	Dr. I.J. Regenstreif, MD, received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in 1965. He then studied at the Indiana University School of Medicine from 1965-1969. Dr. Regenstreif served as a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam War. He has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 12 years and can be seen at our Kokomo, IN location.
	Dr. J. Scott Schmutzler, OD, holds his Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. He graduated with his Doctorate in 1981 and has been working with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 29 years and can be seen at our Greenwood Mall location.
	Dr. David Seay, OD, holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1987. He has been working with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group since early 2006 and can be seen at several Indianapolis, IN locations.
	Dr. Monté Sparks, OD, received his Bachelor of Science in Optometry and his Doctorate of Optometry from The Indiana University School of Optometry. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1973 and has been with the Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 26 years. Dr. Sparks can be seen in our Anderson, IN location.
	Dr. Steven I. Ball, OD, received his Bachelor of Science in Optometry and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University. As a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), he has been helping improve the conditions in Honduras for the last 20 years. Dr. Ball has been working with Dr. Tavel Optical Group for 30 years and can be seen at our Bloomington and Greenwood locations.
	Dr. Kelley Deak, OD, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Ball State University in 1994 and her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1998. Dr. Deak grew up in Muncie, Indiana and currently lives in Columbus, Indiana with her four children. Dr. Deak has worked in a private practice in Columbus since graduating optometry school. She has traveled to Guanajuato, Mexico with VOSH for an eyecare mission trip. She is also a volunteer for Prevent Blindness Indiana and Volunteers in Medicine. In her "spare time", she can be found watching her kids play soccer or doing consultant work for Pampered Chef. Dr. Deak joined the Dr. Tavel Optical Group in 2011 and can be seen at our Chapel Hill location in Indianapolis as well as our Bloomington office.
	Dr. Austin Potter, OD, received his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University. Dr Potter received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2005. Dr. Potter can be seen be seen primarily at our 10th and Mitthoeffer location and several other Indianapolis locations.
